Rotheram Carrington Financial Recruitment is working with a manufacturing company in Wrexham that requires an experienced accountant for up to 3 months, possibly longer.  This role is on-site, working closely with the Factory Manager and other Directors across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, reports, and reconciliations.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate transactions.
• Conduct cost analysis and assist in developing cost control measures.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and maintain general ledger accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, internal policies, and accounting standards.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insight and support business planning.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Utilise accounting software (such as Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks) to manage and analyse financial data.
• Contribute to process improvements within the finance function.

Qualifications and Experience

• Relevant accounting qualification (AAT, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent), Qualified by Experience
• Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar finance role.
• Strong understanding of financial and management accounting principles.
• Experience in cost accounting or manufacturing/production environments is advantageous.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, QuickBooks).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary/Benefits

• £35,000 to £55,000 per annum (daily rate/FTC) possibly up to £60k
