Rotheram Carrington Financial Recruitment is recruiting for a Part-Qualified Management Accountant, for a very well-established manufacturing Company based near Chester/North Wales. This is a newly created role for a ‘Hands On’ Management Accountant to report to the Finance Manager, offering progression. Overall, the business turns over in the region of £165m and is part of a larger international Group. This is a really exciting time to join this business, with exposure to a diverse business, and continuous projects to get involved in.

Responsibilities will include:
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Fixed asset control, ensuring accurate asset recording, managing the asset register, and supporting consistent reporting throughout the asset lifecycle
- Month-end activities, contribute to the month-end close, including reconciliations, draft P&L preparation, variance commentary, and labour/overhead reporting.
- Inventory, around ageing stock, preparing clear reports and developing actions to minimise financial exposure.
- Finance performance analysis, deliver regular financial insight (daily, weekly, and monthly) to support decision-making and highlight operational trends.
- Financial Standards Governance, maintains and updates financial standards, ensuring they remain aligned with operational practices and business requirements.
- Manage all aspects of tax compliance, ensuring accurate submissions and adherence to regulatory expectations.
- Analyse the financial implications of production, including materials, labour, and opportunities for cost recovery or improvement.
- Visit another Site in the Northwest, once a week, to provide on-site financial guidance and strengthen local decision-making.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and analytical tools in Power BI to drive visibility, efficiency, and informed actions.
- Support on contract agreements and monitor compliance,
- Reporting & compliance, coordinate financial documentation and analysis
- Manage financial oversight for spares and consumables, ensuring accurate valuation and visibility of usage.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support and lead financial elements of business improvement and strategic projects.
- Audit Coordination, support external audits by preparing information, responding to queries, and ensuring compliance with audit requirements.
- Supporting the budgeting & forecasting process, working with stakeholders to develop reliable monthly forecasts and contribute to the annual budgeting cycle, with a focus on labour and overheads.
- Carry out additional financial tasks and analysis as delegated by the Finance Manager
Skills/Experience:
- CIMA/ACCA/ACA Part Qualified or Newly Qualified, plus study support if required
- Manufacturing background would be advantageous
- Investigative mind, challenge the status quo
- Advanced Excel skills
- Great communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
What’s On Offer:
- £40,000 to £48,000 per annum, plus study support if required (if recently qualified possible discussion around salary)
