As the business continues to expand, the finance function is evolving too,

and they are looking for a pro-active, hands-on Management Accountant job to join the team based in the Deeside area.

The Role

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will take ownership of a broad Management Accounting

remit while also getting involved in projects and supporting the wider business.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing monthly management accounts accruals and prepayments analysis for review by the FD
• Preparing VAT returns
• Managing the fixed asset register
• Improving and maintaining cost centre reporting
• Managing payroll for approximately 55 employees (takes 2 days a simple process)
• Producing financial analysis and management information
• Dashboard analysis and reporting
• Supporting business improvement projects
• Working closely with operational teams to understand the numbers behind the business
• Getting involved in wider finance and systems projects as the company continues to grow

This role would suit someone who is Part-Qualified or Newly Qualified and wants more than a

traditional Management Accountant position.

You’ll need to be:

• Pro-active and commercially minded
• Hands-on and willing to get stuck in
• Naturally curious and inquisitive
• Confident investigating issues rather than simply reporting them
• Comfortable getting out onto the shop floor and understanding the operation
• Able to work in a fast-moving and changing environment
• Keen to take ownership and improve processes
• Ambitious and excited by business growth
• Attitude is particularly important. They are looking for someone who wants to understand the business ask questions,get involved and contribute not someone who simply wants to produce a set of numbers and move on.

Package & Benefits

• £40,000 to £45,000 plus study support of required, up to £50k dependent on qualifications.
