The Opportunity

Rotheram Carrington Financial Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a successful and growing business with a turnover in excess of £100 million in their search for a Qualified Management Accountant.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, commercially focused environment. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in delivering accurate financial information, supporting business performance, and driving continuous improvement across the finance function.

The successful candidate will be highly organised, commercially aware, and capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly management accounts, including detailed variance analysis and commentary.
• Assist with the budgeting and forecasting processes across the business.
• Produce meaningful financial reports and KPI analysis to support decision-making.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
• Business partnering with operational and departmental managers to provide financial insight and challenge.
• Balance sheet reconciliations and maintenance of financial controls.
• Assist with cash flow forecasting and working capital management.
• Support the Financial Controller with statutory reporting and audit preparation.
• Analyse financial performance, identifying trends, risks and opportunities.
• Participate in finance improvement projects and process enhancements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and accounting standards.
• Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required.

Candidate Profile

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
• Previous experience within a Management Accountant or similar finance role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP/accounting systems.
• Ability to prioritise workload effectively and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Commercially minded with a proactive and hands-on approach.
• Experience working within a fast-paced environment is essential.
