Rotheram Carrington Recruitment Group is recruiting for a Management Accountant, for a very well-established manufacturing Company based near to Chester/North Wales area. This is a newly created role for a ‘Hands On’ Management Accountant to report to the Finance Director, offering progression.  This is a £12m turnover business with a number of new projects that are due to go live, so an exciting time to join.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Providing support to the Finance Director to ensure that all day-to-day accounts duties are accurately controlled and recorded
  • Assisting with month-end and year-end duties, including budgeting, forecasting, reviewing the balance sheet, including accruals and prepayments, and payroll preparation
  • Ensuring the collation and accurate entry of data for accounting and job costing
  • Helping to control the cost of stock, costing of products
  • Maintain customer price lists
  • Oversee and co-ordinate customer order entry, due dates, and order acknowledgments
  • Ensuring the collation and accurate entry of data (invoices, bank payments/receipts, timesheets, creditors, fixed assets, journals) into the accounts system and spreadsheets
  • Checking supplier statements to creditor balances and resolving queries by phone and email
  • Oversee and co-ordinate sales invoices and shipping/despatch documents
  • Reconciling control accounts
  • Cash management including chasing debtors for payment as required
  • Prepare, reconcile and submit VAT returns
  • Completing analysis and reports such as the monthly Sales, Order Intake, Untraded Order Book and Gross
    Contribution Retention reports
  • Assisting with data entry tasks as and when required
  • Any other duties as and when required to maintain efficiency of the department/Company

Skills/Experience:

  • CIMA/ACCA/ACA Part Qualified or Newly Qualified, AAT Qualified or Qualified by Experience
  • Manufacturing background would be advantageous
  • ‘Hands On’ this is a well established SME business, so everyone needs to get stuck in if people are on leave etc
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Great communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
