Rotheram Carrington Financial Recruitment are pleased to be supporting a well established company, in their recruitment of a temporary Accounts Assistant.  This part time position would involve working within an established, friendly finance team, who are looking for an experienced individual who can help to support over holiday season.

Your new temporary role:

  • Process supplier invoices/credit notes onto the system for approval according to established limits
    • Reviewing post and scanning of invoices to the system
    • Preparation supplier payments proposals ensuring payments are made to correct payment terms
    • Review and reconcile debit balances and supplier statements, ensuring suppliers are chased if necessary
    • Assist in resolving customer and supplier queries
    • Reconciliations & allocation on direct debt accounts
    • Contact with suppliers by both phone and email to ensure effective management of queries, billing accuracy and escalation where necessary
    • Keep accurate records
    • To drive a culture of continuous improvement within the team and promote across the business
    • Build strong relationships within the team, the office, the company and external contacts
    • Other ad hoc duties including covering other departmental roles, tasks and project work as required

Skills and Experience:

  • Accuracy and attention to detail is critical to this role
    • Organisational skills and ability to work to tight timescales
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills both verbal and written
    • Good team player who seeks to assist colleagues and has strong interpersonal skills
    • Flexibility to cover other department tasks or assist as required
    • Strong Excel skills and previous accounts package experience
