Rotheram Carrington Recruitment Group are working on behalf of their Client, a well-established services business based in Chester in the recruitment of a Project Accountant – Systems.   The successful individual must be available to start January 2024.  Our Client will either consider an interim or permanent appointment, if interim it is highly desirable to have Oracle Net Suite experience.

This opportunity was initially a newly created role within the business due to a number of projects that they have underway but due to a change in circumstances our Client is looking to now back fill this role.  The successful individual will work closely with the Group Financial Controller to manage the implementation and migration of data to Oracle NetSuite, along with key contact with contacts at Oracle NetSuite, the systems migration team and the finance team

Key duties will include the following:

Project Management

• Lead the project management of the implementation of the current system to Oracle NetSuite
• Assess the progress of the project and keep senior stakeholders informed across the business of key dates, potential challenges or any risks that could occur
• Responsible for the data migration from the current system to NetSuite
• Lead and highlight any process improvements prior to the go-live date
• Business partner across the various contacts (Oracle NetSuite, Finance Team and Migration Team) to ensure everyone is fully up to date and briefed on the status of the project

Process & Data Improvements and documentation

• Design and create new reports (including dashboards) for finance and the Senior Executive team working closely with the GFC
• Produce a process guide, set up and train new users on NetSuite
• Partner with the Business Analyst and key stakeholders across the business to create and develop the management reporting highlighting key trends and data

Phase 2

• Working across the other specialisms to understand how the data flows across the other parts of the business and how to effectively utilise Oracle NetSuite across each areas
• Integration of new payroll system

Skills/Experience

• Available to start January 2024 – Essential
• CIMA/ACA/ACCA part or fully qualified accountant, or equivalent experience
• Previous experience in a System Project Accounting role, leading and project managing various projects simultaneously
• Previous system implementation experience, Oracle NetSuite experience highly advantageous
• Excellent communication skills, must regularly keep all involved areas informed of any changes of delays to the project

Salary/Benefits

• £40,000 to £65,000 per annum (permanent of fixed term contract 12 – 18 months)
• Interim Senior Finance Professional (negotiable dependent on experience)
• Hybrid working – at the start of the project ideally to be on site more often, just to understand the project and build relationships with key stakeholder
