Our Client, a growing business services organisation based in the Chester area are looking to recruit an ACA/ACCA Qualified Financial Accounting Manager who will be responsible for the companies statutory accounts & associated duties, whilst managing a small transactional team.  This opportunity would be a perfect next move for either a first time mover from a small/mid tier practice or someone who is ready to step up in to a finance management role with the support of a very experienced Financial Director.

This role will be reporting into the Financial Director and responsible for the following duties:

• Full preparation of the monthly financial statements
• Balance sheet reconciliation
• Supervision of a small transactional team
• Quarterly VAT returns
• Review & check of the general ledger
• Preparing the draft year end statutory accounts
• Liaising directly with auditors and managing audit process to ensure deadlines are met
• Responding to internal and external queries on financial data and reports

Skills/Experience

• ACCA/ACA Qualified – Essential
• Technical/Financial Accounting background – Essential
• Would be a perfect next move for a first time mover or someone who is ready to step up in to a Financial Controllers role
• Excellent attention to detail – Key
• Strong Excel & analytical skills
• Team player

Salary/Benefits

• £50,000 to £55,000 per annum
• 25 days leave plus bank holidays
• Various other benefits within the package
